Arrivals and two departures in Team W
Marc Inizan to perpetuate the good results of Team Winamax.
The arrival of a new member in our Team Winamax is still a small event in itself, as the professional team at W Red has built a beautiful picture on the circuit.
While Alexia Portal and Guillaume de la Gorce in turn leave the ship (the former actress join Full Tilt Poker), another great hope of French poker happened a few weeks ago: Marc Inizan.
After being known for its good results online “LocSta” has been illustrated by a 3rd place in EFA Berlin, and two great results for its first two WSOP cashes: 13th and 9th two Championships World at $ 10 000, in Vegas and London! BetClick Winamax and tear the shirt Green
Patrick Bruel, visiting Saint-Etienne, poses with Dominique Rocheteau front of a tram in the colors of the partnership between ASSE and Winamax.
A few days ago I wrote a note on the nose (or luck) had been Winamax associate with AS Saint-Etienne this season to become the main shirt sponsor, given the incredible start Season of the team.
Never safe business from seizing the wheels (especially when it works well), the Greens find themselves again in the middle of a small storm, just about this sponsorship.
According to the website bakchich.info, ASSE had received a notice from BetClick , considering that it had signed an exclusive contract in 2009, while the market was not open yet.
Without prejudging the legal legitimacy of the complaint, we will not say that such a request is found somewhere a little motivated by the good start of the Greens and their media exposure in recent weeks. No, we do not say …
That did not stop and Patrick Bruel Winamax to invite a team training center’s training this week Etrat. The opportunity for people to reaffirm his admiration for the club, and his entire satisfaction of having forged this partnership.

The excitement has been put on poker in London for several weeks. Hardly the WSOP Europe ended, it was the turn of EFA to take up residence in the British capital, in 37 races over 8 days.
This third stage of the season 7 of the European Poker Tour (London Poker Festival) saw a pretty even record broken at its Main Event £ 5000, with no fewer than 848 players on the starting line (for a prize pool of 4.1 million pounds), including 63 French among the 57 nationalities represented. The final table saw John Juanda nourish hopes of hanging a beautiful new big result to his tally in the capital after a famous London won WSOP bracelets in 2008.

And the man could even boast of becoming the first player even the Scots in terms of earnings, as well as having earned his ticket to the EPT Grand Final next spring.
Vamplew came even not stop there, since it has also earned the victory in the UK and Ireland to 147 players Poker Tour just days later! This is called a rush …

]]>Matthew Jarvis: First I must say that the bubble of the Main Event is a universe in itself, it’s unbelievable! I had built a nice stack of 32 million at some point, but then I spent two or three terrible hours during which nothing was smiling at me. So I went from chip leader to short stack in a very short time! Joseph Cheong and John Dolan also started to put pressure on players short stack. With the fatigue these days, it was very, very hard. But I’m still left in me qualifying for the final table.
PL: A rather contrasting results then?
MJ: Exactly, I do not know what to think of my performance. I’m pretty frustrated not being able to keep my 32 million, but on the other side I’m still very happy to be part of the November Nine and can start the final table with 30 big blinds.
PL: How did your career as a poker player?
MJ: I started playing with my colleagues in the sales office where I worked a few years ago. Everything was then chained: trips casinos, online poker tournaments (especially in SNG), cash games at $ 2-5 or $ 3-6 No-Limit, etc.. With the poker community very active in Vancouver, I could move forward, learn from my mistakes but also those of others. I am a very competitive and quite gifted in math, poker so I came easily.
PL: How do you prepare yourself for the final table on Nov. 6?
MJ: I will first try to inform me in the middle of the poker, to represent Vancouver and Canada as best as possible, and of course to win the WSOP.
PL: Is turning professional was a difficult decision?
MJ: It was especially difficult for my family and friends, but they are now very happy to see my performance here in Vegas. I even received messages from 40 or 50 people I barely know! I feel very supported, and I really looking forward to the final table of the WSOP Main Event.

]]>Any soap opera, so good it is, always has a purpose. Yes well, okay, the “Lights of Love” does not count.
He Isildur1, mysterious player by talking to him for periods of side parts online high stakes, it would close its outcome?
Of course, one name has long circulated, if not more. But the so-called Viktor Blom, which was more often seen at the tables could live these days (with the first cash a 16th place in the WSOP Main Event in London last month), never confirmed the rumor of the most insistent about it. In addition to refusing interviews.
According Sohello Shah, blogger for the Swedish newspaper Expressen online, Isildur1 would then sign a sponsorship contract with a major poker site. If this happens, it goes without saying that it’s only a matter of hours before the man does finally reveal his identity to the big day.
The question now is whether this end the suspense will not under any extinguisher attraction has been able to generate this young prodigy 20-year resident in Gothenburg.
Re-view virtual tables there less than two weeks (for a loss of some $ 300,000), the other question concerns the future point of falling. If all his exploits have so far been signed on FullTilt Poker, Power Poker is another possibility given that Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies (sponsored by the latter) invited him to join his blog.
One thing remains certain, however, the road is still long for Isildur could really get into the history of poker, such as Dan Harrington (who won the WSOP Main Event 2005) and Erik Seidel (8 WSOP bracelets), second only to being named the 39th and 40th members of the prestigious Poker Hall of Fame.
Go to ten years for the Swedish hidden?
John Racener: Actually, this has happened to me quite wrong. I started with $ 35 million to finish with only 19, a terrible run of bad-me. But I’m still happy with me coming out! I’ll have to study more precisely the set of each of the November Nine. I do not really know because I have so far played little against them.
PL: What is your feeling about the final table?
JR: I think everyone has a chance, they are excellent players that I respect. Some of my opponents start with big stacks, I’m going to have from the beginning to build me a better stack for me not to leave. It is also the best way to regain confidence in me.
PL: Do you also have other projects?
JR: I am first of all very proud to Full Tilt as a sponsor and I think these past few months have been an opportunity to better inform me. A little publicity does not hurt, either in interviews, magazines, on TV … I do not refuse any request. It not only beneficial to me as a poker player but also as a man.
PL: The media pressure around the WSOP is very strong, does it bother you?
JR: I do not care about the cameras around me, unlike some players, it does not bother me. Cameras and media attention will just motivate me to do my best once the final table.
PL: Nearly 9 million dollars waiting for you in case of victory, what would you do?
JR: I can not even imagine because I do not miss anything today. I only know that if I win I will not have to worry about anything for a long time! Of course I will help my family, my sister, my mother and my close friends. Maybe I’ll buy a beautiful house, it would be so much more fun than sharing a small apartment.

One of the attractions of this stage of the Austrian season 7? Daniel Negreanu. Having narrowly missed the chip lead at the end of Day 3, reached the Canadian still the final table without firing a shot, this time leading position.
Daniel Negreanu as often keeps smiling despite the defeat.
Kid Poker could feed the dual ambition to join the clan of the winners of Triple Crown (wins in WSOP, WPT and EPT) and almost catch Phil Ivey leads the ranking of the biggest symbolic winners in tournaments.
Negreanu misses the boat, the first French Launais
Alas, Negreanu finally underwent the law of Czech Martin Hruby, who could go heads-up challenge German Michael Eiler.
Despite having lost half his stack during the last hour of Day 4 in favor of Negreanu, he has found the right car to go back and clinch victory as synonymous with a first prize of 700 000 €.
At 20, Eiler is the first German winner since Liv Boeree in the EPT Dortmund in 2005. Known online under the pseudonym mae9600, the young man had earned his ticket 10 days ago on PokerStars . Bruno Launais, French finalist of the EPT Vienna.

“I was three years old with my sponsor, and Full Tilt asked me to comment in the WSOP for French television. It was pretty exciting, everybody wanted me. So I accepted the proposal.

This is not really a new step because I played many tournaments with my old sponsor. The difference lies more in my new role as presenter and commentator for TV show. This is something new for me, so maybe somewhere that the new stage is here.

My program in the coming months? I will WPT Marrakech, I’ll be at Deauville in January for the EFA, but otherwise I do not know too. I am an actress, I have a restaurant, I have two children, so I have many things to do! ”

Gildas Tanguy interview: Part 1
Faced with the resurgence of French license taken for poker, do you think we need to be supported by a large group as you are, hope to be able to succeed and register on time?
Undoubtedly. Our international competitors have deep pockets, especially those operating in the United States. The competition will be very tough …
How do you respond to concerns and grievances of players, whether regarding the impossibility of facing foreign players now, or at sampling rates?
The level of taxes charged at Eurosport Poker is the lowest in the market and our players are not complaining. As for the separate French, winning players will tell you that it is a blessing and vice versa … Ask Andre aka Cyril Donlimit.
The French tax is it just one of the biggest problems with which to maneuver in order to offer satisfactory services to the players?
The tax applies to online games in France and especially poker is extremely heavy and we took advantage of the most mitigate the effects caused to the players. We did not, as some rooms, the tax advantage to try to increase our charges neither seen nor known. I note today that their players do not have a grudge. [[PokerRoom: Logo: eurosportbet.fr: left]] Today we do not charge any commission on pre-flop, the only levy for players consisting of 2% tax introduced by the legislature. Post-flop, we will charge 5% including the tax, where some of our competitors do not hesitate to go up to 7% … Our policy in terms of “fees” is positioning itself today as the most advantageous of the French market.
Do you think that opening the market and its new links with some major media (TF1 Eurosport) can create a new poker boom in France and even into a genuine popular new sport?
This is already happening, but yes it will undoubtedly have an amplifying effect as in Italy.
Eurosport has already broadcast poker on the air. Exclusive live major tournaments which would then appear on your antennas are they already in the pipeline? Risk you one day come to see a poker on TF1 in access prime-time?
Eurosport Pro Team Poker. From left to right: Basil “Basou” Yaiche, Clement “Clem2511″ Thumy, Hugo “HHHHUGO” Lemaire.
As a subsidiary of a large broadcasting group, of course we are interested in links between TV and poker. We released the Internationaux de France Heads Up on Eurosport and we will soon launch “cash game battle,” a program where poker stars in France and England will compete.
We are also launching a very innovative concept TV, Poker Dome, which will air on TNT channel. Poker on TF1 in access prime-time is not yet on the agenda. We would gladly but there is still some way to go.
Are you planning to create a professional team? Without making revelations, if you could tomorrow be your team of 5 French players, who would you choose?
We are creating our Pro Team. We targeted young players online to share their experiences with our players and that they provide advice to help them progress.
Among them, there Thumy and Hugo Clément Lemaire, two of the best tournament players online and Yaiche Basil, the best cash game player of his generation. We will also set up the site a qualifications system in order to integrate the pro team and learn alongside our players, playing the best tournaments on the international circuit.
]]>Jonathan Duhamel: With only 10 players competing and qualifying for, it obviously played very tight! As chip-leader, I adjusted my strategy and I was able to systematically reviving increase my lead in chips. This game really surprised me tight because every player wanted to retain his position while there are millions of dollars of difference in terms of payout at the final table. In my opinion, it will be quite different in November (Saturday Ed), I expect a game much larger.
PL: What is your feeling on your future opponents?
JD: These are of course all great players who played well during this 8 Day. I’m going to study in depth their game and learn how to read them (interview conducted this summer Ed). I hope the short stacks did not double and will be ejected from the final table as soon as possible. I’ll make the most of my “chip lead by playing aggressive and restarting as often as possible. There will be some action, believe me!
PL: How do you live the chip-leader before the final table of the WSOP?
JD: It’s a great performance and it shows everyone that I feel confident. Certainly, there is always an element of luck in poker, but I worked hard to get here so that qualification seems actually not that surprising.
PL: How are you going to prepare for the big day?
JD: I do not know yet how I will look for the next four months. See my family is already a beautiful thing! I also think some travel and participate in EFA. Anyway, I hope this qualification will boost the small world of poker in Quebec, where there are already many notable players.
PL: With this performance, you should feel more supported and monitored, right?
JD: Everybody is happy, I got lots of calls and text messages of congratulations from my friends and my family. I’m really looking forward to seeing them again
